On February 6, 2023, a major earthquake of M7.8 occurred in southeastern Turkey, causing extensive damage in a wide area. In this briefing session, we will present preliminary analyses of this earthquake and information based on the findings of disaster science. The session will be in Japanese and English translation will be provided.
