In the 2011 Tohoku Region Pacific Ocean Offshore Earthquake, the loss of functions of transportation, ports, and disaster prevention facilities, damage to medical and administrative facilities, and the outbreak of rubble hindered recovery. As a result, economic activity has stopped for a long time in the disaster area. Since the earthquake, there has been a demand for resilient regional and urban designs that are highly resilient to disasters. We are researching and developing a system that integrates numerical simulation and GIS with the aim of supporting the design. In addition, in order to enable more advanced regional and urban design, we are conducting research on the utilization of 3D data such as modeling of urban space, 3D simulation, and visualization using XR technology.
