I spent over 20 years working for a commercial broadcasting station in Miyagi Prefecture. As a weather presenter, I stood on the front lines of large-scale disasters, including the Great East Japan Earthquake, and have been deeply engaged in disaster risk reduction.

At the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS), we widely disseminate our research findings and initiatives through public relations activities. As a member of the Public Relations Office, I am dedicated to helping as many people as possible see disaster risk reduction as a personal matter and take proactive steps to protect themselves.
