研究概要

アメリカ合衆国出身。専門は建築学。シアトル・ワシントン大学で修士号、神戸大学で博士号を取得。「人間中心の住宅復興」をテーマに、アメリカ合衆国・インドネシア・フィリピン・日本等において、災害後の住宅再建やコミュニティベースの復興計画に関する研究を行ってきた。地域住民やコミュニティの生活・生業の復興支援につながる住宅復興政策のあり方について追求している。

国際研究推進オフィスでは、さまざまな活動を推進し、東北、日本、およびその他の国の研究者と地域社会との間での研究協力とアイデアや経験の交換を継続的に行っています。
