研究概要

2011年東北沖巨大地震(Mw 9.0)の震源域の微細構造を調べた (Zhao et al., 2011; Liu & Zhao, 2008; Hua & Zhao et al., 2020).

Big mantle wedge (BMW)モデルを提唱し、東アジア地域のプレート内部地震と火山の起源を説明した (Zhao et al., 2004, 2009).

世界で初めて月内部の3次元地震波トモグラフィーを求めた(Zhao et al., 2008, 2012).
