G7仙台科学技術大臣 IRIDeS訪問
2023年5月12~14日、仙台市にてG7仙台科学技術大臣会合が開催され、地球規模課題の解決に向けた科学技術協力の強化等について議論が行われました。うち5月13日は、同会合エクスカーションの一貫として、G7諸国の科学技術大臣の方々をはじめとする関係者が東北大学災害科学国際研究所(IRIDeS)を訪問されました。
本ページは、上記のIRIDeSご訪問時に紹介した、IRIDeSの概要、特色ある研究例、ならびに、IRIDeS研究者がこれまでに実施した、G7の国々に拠点を置く研究者や組織との連携研究・活動事例をまとめたものです。
今回のご訪問を機に、G7諸国において、東日本大震災の教訓から生まれた科学への興味と理解が深化し、災害科学分野における国際協力が一層進むことが期待されます。
