World Bosai Forum – IRIDeS

Started in 2017, the World Bosai Forum is an international biennial conference held in collaboration with the "International Disaster and Risk Conferece (IDRC Davos)" held in Switzerland. Developing the achievements of the third United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in 2015, the World Bosai Forum brings together people from Japan and abroad. The forum also promotes the implementation of the "Sendai Framework for Disaster Reduction 2015-2030" and the creation of concrete solutions for disaster risk reduction. Participants of the World Bosai Forum are diverse, including individuals from industry, government, academia, media and the general public; together, they share the experiences of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the latest knowledge related to disaster risk reduction. IRIDeS has been playing a major role in supporting the World Bosai Forum.
