Research Activities
The Local Community History Lab examines disasters, disaster prevention, and reconstruction from a historical perspective, with a particular focus on analyzing local initiatives and carrying out activities that connect the past with the present and future. "Regional Community History" refers to historical research encompassing politics, economics, and culture, with the goal of contributing to local communities and future disaster prevention.

・The History of Disasters and the Struggle for Survival
We examine societal efforts before a disaster, disaster response, and post-disaster recovery phases from the perspectives of both residents and local governments.

・Regional Community History and the Development of Everyday Networks
We will conduct research on local historical materials and share our findings not only with the academic community but also with residents and local governments, thereby creating opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of local history. Building on our collaboration centered on local culture, we aim to expand our efforts to promote disaster prevention.
